A total of 11 restaurants mark a historical moment by receiving the prestigious Michelin Stars for the first time in the Middle East region, and they are all located in Dubai.
The Michelin Guide Dubai 2022 recognized and honored 69 eateries – 11 are awarded Michelin stars, 14 received a Bib Gourmand (deemed to provide value for money), and 44 are titled ‘Michelin-selected’ restaurants. The cuisines and tastes traverse across dozens of nations and traditions, all brought together in the city of Dubai.
Two restaurants – Il Ristorante by Niko Romito and STAY by Yannick Alleno– were awarded two stars, while nine were given one star, as published by the Michelin Guide Dubai 2022.
Following a three-star rating, the Michelin Guide distinguishes them as:
1 Star: A very good restaurant in its category
2 Stars: Excellent cooking, worth a detour
3 Stars: Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey
